I am pleased to inform you that the blog has resumed. This semester will be filled with fashion, Brits and other internationals. And of course, Gregory will also be featured.

To start the semester of right, here are some snapshots of Greg's new wardrobe. He did some shopping over break. He still wears one pair of skinny jeans, but at least... they're new.

THE SEMESTER BREAKS AT PIVOTAL POINT!

Well, well, well. My work here may be done. For the entire semester, I have been looking at Greg's skinny jeans--we all have--and making fun of his British accent. I also wrote a few months ago, that Greg's British counter part in the school, our very own Fulbright Scholar, would never wear skinny jeans. I am happy to tell you: I was wrong.

I ran into this Nobel Laureate at Nussbaum and Wu, when he told me that he bought himself a pair of skinny jeans at American Apparel. AMERICAN APPAREL! Has anyone ever seen anybody more British than Simon? Simon also confessed that he was not completely sure that the jeans are actually meant to be skinny. "I am raaaahhhter afffraid that my callllwwwwzzz are just too thick," Simon said, sipping water.

Clearly, the colors in the American Apparel store temporarily lost Simon to lose all sense of self, because he also bought a pink shirt. Could it be possible that Simon is slowly morphing into Greg? And Greg into Simon?

I think it has officially been done: Simon has ... INTEGRATED. Well done, simon. When he left, however, Simon did look like his old British self, wearing a vintage hat and hiding his pink shirt. Baby steps.

Inspired by the infamous O.C. episodes, Gregory put on his familiar pair of skinny jeans (like he owns anything else) and topped it off with a red-and-gray winter vest. Yes, the vest he can also wear when he hits the age of 60, but it's the holidays so who cares. It's, er, very British of you Gregory. The smell of hot apple cider just comes out of your computer, looking at these pictures.

By now, we know that there is something not in order when Greg is wearing kakis. There are, of course, multiple options for this. 1) It's laundry day. 2) Greg is sick. The latter one was the case. As Greg went around school, with what he described a "monstrous cough," he was in no shape to wear skinny jeans. Other people may have resorted to sweatpants, BUT NOT OUR GREGORY! Kakis is as casual as this Euro-boy is willing to go. An important accessory with this sickly look is the pouty face. And Greg is working the pouty face very well in this picture.

BREAKING NEWS: the fashion lies with New Media

Who knew? The New Media kids are fashionable! I know what you all must be thinking. New media means computers, computers means geeks, and geeks by all means does not mean fashion. Well, loyal fans, let me tell you, the facts seem to be otherwise. After a speech by Anderson Cooper in the lecture hall, I stumbled upon these two well accessorized men.

Chikodi is working his hip version of a hunter's hat, and Greg (Boquet, not White), has a fashionable blue scarf. "This is way too long and wrapped three times," he explained. It also became apparent that there was no real plan behind the scarf... probably just to keep him warm.

Also, a warm welcome to Chikodi and Greg to this blog. Let's hope that the other New Media people are inspired by this, and will dress up when they go sit behind their computers.

Hello all you loyal Gregory fans out there. I know you have all been following Greg's wardrobe for quite some months now, and it has become harder and harder to distinguish particular looks. They all come down to the same thing: Skinny Jeans, button down shirt, sometimes a vest, and always very big shoes. As was the case when I found Gregory doing some work in the Stabile Student Center, wearing a vest, and slouched in a relaxed manner, while probably solving the economic crisis on his lap top. It may seem to be way too American for this Euro-boy's taste: Ralph Lauren. Ralph Lauren is known for its Americanness with the kakis and the button down shirts, and the boat shoes for men and women. When walking through the Herald Square Macy's, however, my eye caught this advertisement and the man in the picture reminded me of someone.... Gregory! Dressed in the same tweed and with the same look on his face, Greg could pass for a Ralph Lauren model on what was a windy October (shopping) Sunday. Of course, the Americanness of all the items in Macy's overwhelmed Greg and he resorted to truly manly stores H&M and ZARA.

Suits make men more confident about themselves, because usually they look a lot better in one. Gregory, here, is a living example. In stead of skinny jeans, he is wearing a skinny tie, but the suit works well on him. This style works well on Gregory, too, a little less hipster a little more venture capitalist. I think it's time to turn that British accent up a few notches, old chap. The story behind the suit is also wonderfully European, since Gregory is in Paris at the time of this writing. Watch out, maybe Greg will return with a Faux French Accent! Since we all know: Paris is undeniably more stylish than London.

In a truly unprecedented experiment, I proudly welcome B Schooler James Graham (the British looking bloke on the right) and his B School friend, who have been the privileged first guests from another school. While I pledged solemnly to limit this blog to the handsom men of the Journalism School, it was time for some diversity. Of course, this blog has to uphold its standards, and we cannot branch out to people who do not have some sort of Euro-British link. James Graham, was wearing a typical business school outfit.

Unfortunately, but anticipated, the B Schoolers do not wear skinny jeans. Although, it should totally be possible to discuss (and solve) the economic crisis while wearing skinny jeans (GREGORY DOES IT!). The B schoolers just are not as adventurous as our very own J School men in the fashion department.

Many of you may not know this, but Gregory used to be an athlete (or a jock--you pick). The skinny jeans and hipster attitude, not to mention the British accent, hide it pretty well, but Sir White used to be the captain of his High School Hockey Team! Yes, I am referring to his days as a "bro." (who ever wants to hear greg's Bro-philosophy, please call him: It's Fascinating!)

Greg enjoyed a leisurely afternoon at one of his favorite hang outs, Max Cafe (there's a little tip for all you ladies out there), wearing a sweatshirt from his hockey days. It's quite revolutionary to see Greg in a sweatshirt (think about it), but even hipsters need a day off once in a while.

It has been a while all you loyal blog-readers. But, we're back like never before. Quite some weeks ago, Gregory made his way to a J-School Happy Hour in Lion's Head Tavern, and put together quite the party outfit. Wearing his traditional party shirt, with a vest (may be a little too much) and of course his extra skinny jeans. BUT what is truly amazing here, are those shoes. The pointy shoes were of course acquired in Europe, and he wore them with pride.

Gregory received a lot of comments about the shoes (they're quite hard to miss). Nothing will get you more attention than wearing your clubbing shoes to happy hour.

As usual Gregory, looking particularly delicate this evening, had a way with his dress. The approach, which many would consider conservative on Halloween evening, made him stand out even further from the crowd of miscreants (someone even came as a exhibitionist, how awful!). The cigarette, delicately perched. The hair, elegantly touseled. The hat, accenting his eyes. All seemed forced, directed towards proving a point of his own image. At all times Gregory seemed mindful of simply how Gregory he was. A remarkable show, as per usual.

Gregory dressed up as a sketchy European man. Not just an exhibitionist. No. An exhibitionist in a European style trenchcoat. At the same time, I -- Claire Moses -- was very popular as Greg White. Greg, as true and loyal followers of this blog know all too well, has may sides and outfits (yet there is so little variety). The Greg I dressed up as on Halloween is the most traditional Greg: sigarette loosely hanging from the right corner of the mouth, the FT in hand, blue scarf (around the neck in that European way), blazer and pink shirt. BREAKING NEWS: Gregory has a previous modeling career; has been hiding since blog began

Gregory has been hiding from us all this time. While this blog has exclusive rights to Gregory (even Nigel Barker would have to ask for permission to photograph this model), he has in fact appeared in this winter coat before on a Dutch web site of all places. The fascination of the Dutch with Gregory is hard to explain, yet it is obvious.

Greg does drink his Oren's coffee with his pinky in the air, in the same fashion as Prince Charles or Sir Elton would do it.

The left hand corner is Greg (who described himself as the coolest, hottest guy of this range of pictures). Gregory also started contemplating a real modeling career. It is fair to say that all this attention from the Dutch has gotten to his head. Maybe it is time to adjust the British accent (it's clearly fake anyway) and adopt a Dutch identity? That could still - potentially - include two pairs of skinny jeans...

The gentleman from Denmark is back! This man - trademarked by his style, accent and his (what must be) Danish sense of humor - stood outside the J School last Thursday. Nikolaj is always dressed as if he is on his way to his next business meeting, the only thing that is missing would be a copy of the Financial Times. Of course, Gregory is a fervent reader of the FT, which once more confirms why he is the subject of his blog. Although... at least Nikolaj doesn't fake his accent.

Nikolaj also seems to be very into the blog, and is very willing to have his picture taken.

Also: notice the cuffs. They have pictures of little skulls on them. "The devil is in the details," said the Danish dude. Also, in case anybody is wondering: Nikolaj is 35.

Greg wears Baggy Jeans? The Harry Potter scarf is back

Although one of Greg's two pairs of skinny jeans was lying, clean, in his closet [note: closet photo shoot to come to the blog soon], he decided once more to put on baggy jeans. This takes off points of Gregory's Euro-status. If this were a game of monopoly he would have to spend one round in jail (without the free out of jail card).

A while ago, Alan Haburchak also wore a Harry Potter scarf, and made it to the blog. The question now remains: who was the first one to wear the scarf? One can only assume that Gregory was the first, as he has become a true role model to many J School men. Some have even proposed to dress up as Gregory on Halloween.

"I have been waiting for a blog invite," he said, with clear hapiness in his voice. Unsurprisingly, Nikolaj is from Europe. Hereby he once again proves that real - effortless - style comes from Europe. If the whole British thing does not work out, maybe Gregory can try to be Danish.

Dressed in fall colors, and of course recognizable by his tweed jacket (never forget it: Tweed is in) Greg supported his favorite American team: the Phillies. Still trying very hard to be British, Greg wore his hat in de most European way possible. It's a bit complicated, but here is what it comes down to: Greg is an American, looking like a British man who is dressing like an American. (there's more American in there than British, Gregory, you're not there yet. But... on your way.)

Greg was also dressed very appropriately on this fall day. As the cold weather comes in, expect to see more and more of Greg's seasonable outfits.

The economy in crisis: Gregory dresses like a Lehman Brother

It's not Halloween just yet, Gregory! As Gregory nonchalantly wondered into the Stabile Student Center at the J School, he was almost ready to have his picture taken, as he closed the last button of his cardigan. This outfit combines Gregs two favorite interests: British fashion (yes: the skinny jeans) and the economy (as expressed in his tie). Form the crowd of the Tuesday night lecture whispers went up in the crowd... "Did you see Greg is wearing a tie!"

Gregory just never stops to amaze the rest of the J School with his fashion sense. The goal: get all the J School Boys in skinny jeans.

Alan's outfits are often inspired by a certain character that we all know well: Harry Potter. He also owns a scarf in the same crimson red - yellow striped print.

Matt's style is one that is always fashionable: alcoholism. On this crisp, sunny Thursday morning in October --while Greg is enjoying his scrambled eggs and another latte--Matt is enjoying a Newcastle. No trace of European style can be found in Matt's style, though. Only American labels make their way into this man's closet.

Well. In an effort to seem even more European than usual, Gregory, Joe Jackson and Ben Piven played some soccer (let's call it footy for the occasion) in the park.

It is now time to focus on a gentleman with a real British accent (no offense, Greg) who wore a glittery obama t-shirt on the night of the first presidential debate. Joe Jackson sure knows how to fashionable state his political beliefs.

Greg was still wearing his blue trench coat, so he deserves to be in the picture as well.

...But not as fashionable as Gregory. How could they be... they're Americans and simply do not have the European background Gregory has Nor do any of them have any faux-British accents.

Karn Dhingra's outfit was simple but stylish, with faded jeans (not skinny) and a blue shirt. Since he lives with Greg, it will only be a matter of time before he'll be wearing skinny jeans too. Or at least... a trenchcoat?

However, we spotted some other interesting creations in front of the J School.

Joe's shoes: Joe Bernstein deserved a picture today, because of his shoes. When asked if there was a special story behind them, he answered: "They're just cool shoes."

Greg made this miserable and rainy day a bit better, by wearing his trench coat. the blue -- surely European -- coat went perfectly with his skinny jeans. And like a real (quasi-)European he casually smoked a cigarette in front of the Journalism School.

The European influence is once again very visible in Greg's outfits.

The only thing missing are wintery accessories, such as scarfs, gloves and hats. One can only imagine how the winter will be. The trench coat was a great start of the fall. This way, we can handle the rain.
